Cost for Services
Fees:
Currently JPS accepts Aetna, Cigna, and most Blue Cross Blue Shield NC insurance plans (these include: PPO, Blue Options, Blue Advantage, Blue Select, HMO - Blue Care, CMM- Classic Blue, Blue Assurance) and self-pay clients. An invoice/superbill will be available upon request if clients wish to submit to other insurance carriers to determine if partial reimbursement as an Out of Network provider is possible. Clients are responsible for contacting their insurance provider in advance of the initial Intake session to determine what, if any, costs are covered by their carrier. Session fees (including co-pays and No Show fees) will be automatically billed to a credit or debit card following each appointment.
Cost by Service:
Complementary 15 minute consult (no charge) for potential clients
Initial Intake - 60 minutes - $260 (all clients must have a full intake prior to start of therapy)
Individual therapy- 45 minutes - $165
Individual therapy extended - 60 minutes = $240
Couples/Family Intake - 60 minutes = $260 (required by all couples/families prior to therapy)
Couples/Family therapy - 50 minutes = $175
Parent Consultation - 45 minutes = $165
ADHD Assessments -
An initial screening ($30 Out of Pocket) is available if a client would like to determine whether an assessment is recommended.
If an assessment is appropriate, we will discuss your specific needs and goals. Assessment fees range from $350 to $700, depending on factors such as your needs, age, assessment duration, and required documentation. Many insurance plans cover part of the cost, but most require preauthorization and expect clients to pay deductibles and copays. You are responsible for any costs not covered by insurance. Please refer to the top of the page to confirm if JPS is in-network with your insurance. Documentation can be provided for educational purposes (IEPs, 504s, college accommodations) or for a medical provider if you are seeking medication. Please note that I do not prescribe medication. The ADHD assessment includes screening for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, and ASD. However, it is not a comprehensive evaluation for Learning Differences/Disorders (LDs) or Autism Spectrum Disorder. These assessments are more extensive and fall outside my current scope of practice. If you require assessment for LD, ASD, or academic placement, a comprehensive cognitive or neuropsychological evaluation is recommended, as ADHD testing is often included in these assessments.
Group therapy - 75 minutes = $60 must commit to 6 consecutive group sessions - paid at initial session
Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 48 hour notice to avoid a $50 late cancellation/ no show fee.
Documentation, letters, phone calls requested by clients will be billed at the usual fee in 15 minute increments. JPS does not provide court related services. Any court appearance or other legal matters will be billed at $250/ hour including travel time, time presence is required and preparation time.
Fees are subject to change; current clients will get advance notice of any fee changes.
Please note that most insurance companies will not cover ADHD coaching, group therapy, and certain session types. Insurance will not cover late cancellation / no show fees.
